Description: Total Finishing’s part # 9-996 is a compatible replacement for GRACO® parts 101-859 and 101859, a ball for GRACO® spray equipment. This ball is the moving element of a check valve in the pump’s fluid section: on each stroke it lifts off its seat to let coating through, then reseats to hold pressure. Compatible with GRACO® 15:1 Fire-Ball, 15:1 President, 17:1 Senator Dura-Flo 900, 28:1 Bulldog Dura-Flo 900, 3.5:1 Viscount Dura-Flo 900, 33:1 Bulldog Dura-Flo 750 and other GRACO® equipment.
Common reasons for replacement:
- Pitting or scoring from abrasive coatings
- Replaced together with its seat during a fluid-section rebuild
- Sprayer loses prime or pressure as the ball wears out-of-round
- Fluid backflow from a ball that no longer seats cleanly
